How To Quilting

Crochet 101 - Learn How You Can Be Making Your Very Own Crochet Patterns
Steps towards Learning How to Quilt
You want to know the answer of question,” How to quilting?” But it is essential that you get familiar with the meaning of quilting before. A quilt is actually a group of squares made up of fabric that are sewn together to form a large blanket. Each square is made separately and then the completed squares are joined together by stitching at the end. Consequently, it is possible to make a quilt in a desired size by increasing or decreasing the number of squares. Before you know about how to quilting, you should first gather all the necessary tools and material needed for quilting. You can get all these things easily sitting at your home, at reasonable price from an online quilting supply store. For quilting, you require: Fabric- You can use 100 percent cotton fabric of good quality. Give it a hand wash and dry it on a hanger before using it. Quilting Thread- You require strong thread to stitch the quilt. Pins-To keep everything in place, you will require little sewing pins to save your quilt from being deformed. Fabric Scissors- You will need to have a pair of sharp scissors. Needle- You need needles to stitch the blocks together. Marking Pencils- You will require them to draw on the fabric. Batting- For stuffing, cotton is given the first priority, as it is the most comfortable. But you can use stuffing of your own choice also like silk or velvet. After collecting all these materials, you can begin to make your very first block. The steps of making first block are as follows: * From the fabric cut out a square piece measuring 6” for quilt-back. You can make template of cardboard to outline the same size onto the fabric. Then cut it out and keep it aside. * Now cut another square piece measuring 6” for quilt-top. You can use cardboard templates for convenience. * From the ¼ yard of fabric cut out a square measuring 3” and cut out a small heart out of it. * Pin up this heart in the middle of 6” square. * Stitch it from all sides. * Now, cut out a batting measuring 7”. * Now arrange them all. First of all, keep quilt top on top, then keep quilt back under it and keep batting between these two. Pin up each corner and also place one pin in the middle so that it does not move. Be sure that batting is sticked to all sides. * Make a knot at the end of thread. Now pull through the quilt block. * Stitch it using even stitch that passes through all of the three layers. * Take the thread on the quilt back. Here, form a tiny knot, and your nice as well as clean quilt top is prepared. * Trim the batting that is around the edge in a way that only 1/4 “sticks out. * After that, bind the blocks to avoid falling out of the batting. You only need to stitch a few number of these blocks together to make a quilt. Hopefully, you must have got the answer of your question, “How to quilting?”
